Run for the Cure

ANNUAL CHARITY RUN

Eldo Run.jpg

Founded in 1979, the Eldorado Run for the Cure is the longest operating footrace in the State of Colorado. All proceeds from the annual four-mile run benefit the Colorado Cancer Foundation's life saving work, e.g., aiding oncology patients, researchers, and physicians at the University of Colorado's Division of Medical Oncology. Community hospitals and treatment centers in rural Colorado also benefit from the CCF's donations, and in select cases, patients in need of immediate care can be flown to the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO for time sensitive procedures.

Event Information

Each year the 4.0 mile course begins and ends at the Eldorado Springs Pool, located at 294 Artesian Drive, Eldorado Springs, CO 80025. The out and back course takes runners through the entrance of Eldorado Canyon State Park, where steep cliff walls shelter a gently flowing stream. About a half mile into the run, the canyon walls gives way to rolling hills and open fields with spectacular views of the State Park as runners return to the starting line. Upon finishing the short yet challenging course, participants are treated to catered food and drink as part of the post run festivities.
