ANNUAL CHARITABLE
RUN-WALK
Run for the Cure
Thursday, August 13, 2026
Founded in 1979, the Eldorado Run for the Cure is the longest operating charitable footrace in the State of Colorado. All proceeds from the annual four-mile run benefit the Colorado Cancer Foundation's life saving work, from funding oncology research at the University of Colorado's (CU) Division of Medical Oncology to aiding patients at the CU Hospital in Aurora, CO.
Each year, the run has developed and grown, and in 2023 a new course was introduced, routing participants along the scenic South Boulder Creek, which winds through the high cliff walls of historic Eldorado Canyon.
Scenic 4-Mile Course
Each year, the Run for the Cure begins and ends at the Eldorado Springs Pool, located at 294 Artesian Drive, Eldorado Springs, CO 80025. The out-and-back course, wherein runners climb and descend a gently sloping dirt road twice, is well-suited to people of all ages and abilities, so please bring your family and friends, and stay to enjoy the Eldorado Springs Pool.
Upon finishing the short, scenic course participants are treated to catered food and drink as part of the post run festivities, and prizes, such as gift certificates to local restaurants, are awarded to people at varying age levels, creating a fun, festive environment. Check back soon for information on the 2026 Run for the Cure.
Primary Sponsor
Part of what makes the Run for the Cure so special is the location in Eldorado Springs Canyon, and the generosity of the event’s primary sponsor, Eldorado Springs Water, who for years has made its facilities available for the event, including access to the newly renovated Eldorado Springs Pool. In addition, CCF Board Member, Jeremy Martin, and his executive team donate thousands of dollars to the event each year, helping to keep ticket prices low.
